I recently registered for Plurk. For those who are familiar with Twitter, you'll probably get the hang of Plurk pretty fast.
So "What is Plurk"?
Plurk is a website that allows you to 'showcase' or publish events (short shout outs) on a time-line. Pretty cool if you want to update your friends/family about what you're doing without having to write much stuff.
The site is very interactive, and plain addictive. Karma points are awarded the more you interact with other 'Plurkers'. The more Karma you have, the more Plurk features you'll have access to (wider collection of emoticons, templates, animal pictures, and what not). It's stupid in a funny way. Really.
But what I like best about it is it's an excellent place for advertising. Now imagine having 1000 people following you on Plurk. You can market ANYTHING to them, for FREEE! So what're you waiting for? Get a Plurk account today. Even the President is using it lol!
